CRITERIA

 

The Armonk Lions Club is in search of qualified nominees for the 2008 Pat. J. Bresha Award.

This annual award is made to a North Castle resident who best exemplifies the ideals that shaped the life and service of the late civic leader. Mr. Bresha, former Deputy Supervisor of the Town of North Castle, Councilman, and Lion President, met an untimely death more than a decade ago in the midst of his most active years. His unselfish devotion to the community has inspired the Armonk Lions to spotlight the men and women who follow in his footsteps.

Organizations and individuals are urged to submit nominations in writing by April 15 to Murray Leffler, c/o Armonk Lions Club, P.O. box 211, Armonk, NY 10504. Specific criteria and guidelines are available by calling Murray Leffler at 914-273-4811 or by e-mail at Murray@armonklions.org

Previous winners are listed on a plaque in the North Castle Town Hall. They include the late R.Eugene Curry, Richard N. Lander, Del Pietschker and Charles Elson as well as Elizabeth C. Sluder, Elwood C. Clark, John A. Lombardi, Dorrie Finch Watson, John Schnoor, Piers L. Curry, Peter Vande Water, John Fava, Erling J. Taylor, John Heimerdinger, Thomas MacInnes, and  Sharon Tomback.
